Chapter 4 FLASH LITE 2.X In this chapter, we will go on a whirlwind tour of AS2, and seen how to build a basic Flash Lite 2 file, some common pitfalls, and the differences you’ll find with Flash Lite 2. Chapter 5 APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT In this chapter, we will discuss a lot of techniques, tips, and best practices for dealing with many aspects of mobile application development. Chapter 6 MOBILE GAMING In this chapter, we will look at creating games for mobile devices. We will explore which work best, how to optimize graphics and logic, and some step-by-step sample games, including blackjack. Chapter 7 FLASH LITE MOBILE ENTERTAINMENT BASICS In this chapter, we will look at mobile content such as screensavers and wallpapers, another area where Flash Lite can be used. Chapter 8 FLASH MOBILE SOUND In this chapter, we’ll cover the intricacies of Flash Mobile sound. There we will cover both Flash Lite 1.1 as well as Flash Lite 2 sound. This includes capabilities, limitations, and considerations to make when working with sound on Flash Lite–enabled portable devices. Chapter 9 FLASH MOBILE VIDEO In this chapter, I’ll cover another exciting topic for mobile devices—video. To be more specific, I’ll be talking about device video supported on certain Flash Lite 2–enabled devices. Chapter 10 EXTENDING FLASH LITE In this chapter, we’ll talk about how to extend the current capabilities of Flash Lite. Chapter 10 will cover creating custom components for Flash Lite, as well as external methods for reading and writing text files in Flash Lite applications. Chapter 11 DISTRIBUTION AND DEPLOYMENT In this chapter, you learned how you can make user-friendly installers for the clients of your mobile content.
