 Chapter 1. What is Podcasting & Blogging Anyway?A blog is a personal journal, posted on a web page for anyone to read. A podcast is, essentially, an audio blog; you can listen to a podcast on a web page, in iTunes, or download it to an iPod. Some podcasts include video, but it is much easier and often just as effective to create an audio blog and include still images. Chapter 2. Build an iWeb Site! Chapter 3. Blog On! Blog Louder! If you're comfortable with iWeb, let's start blogging! You'll be amazed at how easy it is. This chapter assumes you know how to edit text and graphics, as explained in detail in Chapter 2. Chapter 4. Plan Your Podcast Preliminary planning and preparation can save lots of time in the creation of a podcast project. Most importantly, the quality of podcast content usually improves with a little well-thought-out planning. Chapter 5. Record your Podcast Production of your podcast starts with the processs of recording your voice in GarageBand. We assume you read the minimum requirements on page 3 and you've installed the latest version of Apple's iLife software. Chapter 6. Edit & Mix your Podcast After you record all of the sound clips you need for your podcast, you'll edit the clips to create a more professional presentation. Chapter 7. Add your Podcast to the iWeb Site Your podcast is recorded, edited, and mixed, and you're ready to put it on a web page so you can upload it! Chapter 8. Publish your Blog & Podcast Most of the work is done! Once your site is up, all you'll do is regularly update it and add additional podcasting episodes and blog entries. It will be a matter of typing your blog entry or creating a podcast and hitting the "Publish" button. Woo hoo! Chapter 9. Tell the World About your Blog or Podcast Chapter 10. Advanced Tips This chapter provides extra information, tips, and techniques that can be helpful in the creation of your blogs and podcasts.
