CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTIONThis book is designed to provide you with a fundamental vocabulary in Flash. CHAPTER 2 INTERFACE Flash 8 has interface elements that are common to all Macromedia web and multimedia authoring products. So, once you are familiar with one of the Macromedia programs, you will be on your way to understanding the others. CHAPTER 3 VECTOR DRAWING - What is vector drawing? It is a way to create and save digital imaging information. The edges are crisp, the colors are flat and the artwork you create is editable. CHAPTER 4 SELECTING AND MODIFYING - As we have seen in the previous chapter, the beauty of vector drawing is that it is so easily adaptable. Basic artwork is known as shape data and can be edited, molded and manipulated. CHAPTER 5 IMPORTING IMAGES CHAPTER 6 LAYERS, SYMBOLS AND KEYFRAMES CHAPTER 7 MENU NAVIGATION - In this chapter we will look at creating more complex navigation through using buttons in groups as menus, through the use of movie clip symbols and by creating submenus. CHAPTER 8 ANIMATION - There are two different ways to produce animation in Flash. The first is very intuitive. Frame-by-frame animation involves drawing each frame individually. The second method may seem more complex, but once you have grasped the concepts of animating with tweening you will be able to save yourself a lot of time. CHAPTER 9 MORE ANIMATION TECHNIQUES CHAPTER 10 FURTHER ANIMATION TECHNIQUES CHAPTER 11 SOUND CHAPTER 12 VIDEO - In order to bring video into your computer, it must first be converted into a digital form that your computer will understand. CHAPTER 13 DESIGNING FOR CROSS-MEDIA CHAPTER 14 PUTTING FLASH ON THE WEB - Now that you have designed and produced a slick, all-singing, all-dancing Flash web site, what are the practicalities of organizing your site, adding the finishing touches and putting it on the web? CHAPTER 15 CROSS-MEDIA PUBLISHING - In the previous chapter we looked at using the publish settings to export SWF and HTML files to create output for the Web.
